CHARTER
We are a collaboration of individuals and representatives of community based organizations, insurers, providers, government, patient advocates, and the Finger Lakes
Health Systems Agency (FLHSA).
We identify barriers to insurance coverage, research and identify strategies to reduce those barriers, take action/advocate for strategy implementation, educate the
community on health care access and insurance coverage, and evaluate and report the effectiveness of our activities.
We do this for the uninsured and underinsured, their providers, community and public service agencies, and people of the communities of the Rochester and Finger Lakes
regions.
We do this to increase the number of people with: health insurance coverage as a means to increasing access to care, and improving the health of people living in our communities.
We are convened, and supported, by the FLHSA to ensure a synergy between our activities and the broader work of community health planning.
VISION STATEMENT
We believe a fully insured community is one in which all community residents have coverage for the full range of their health care needs.
